Our
services can be neatly summarised
as being in four distinct areas
FORECASTING
We provide detailed weather forecast
services for clients in many different
sectors, for example in farming, broadcast,
print media, wind energy, ports, sporting
events and gritting (private and commercial
premises). Some of these are web-based
and are accessed through customer login
via our home page. Others are delivered
by e-mail or ftp direct to our client.
Still others are provided person-to-person
over the phone. We are equally happy
to offer you our own designs or to develop
something bespoke which meets your exact
needs. Everyone can access our forecasting
staff via our premium-rated telephone
line, 09065 77 76 76, whatever your
weather-related question.
BROADCASTING
Our team are experienced TV and Radio
weather presenters, delivering live
weather forecasts and using their expertise
in regular interviews we work to the
tightest time schedules. We can also
brief, over the phone, your own presenters,
helping them in a friendly and supportive
way to identify and emphasize the key
points in any forecast presentation,
ensuring that viewers and listeners
take away the main messages. Coming
very soon will be our own internet-based
broadcast service.
TRAINING
As a university-based company we are
naturally experienced trainers too.
We participate strongly in the training
of meteorology students at UEA, both
in the lecture hall and in practical
sessions (including fieldwork). We also
offer training courses, lasting 1-5
days, for anyone looking for professional
development in tv weather presenting
and for others wanting to sharpen their
understanding of marine weather, either
for their job or in support of sailing
for leisure (and associated exams).
Aside from these well developed weather
training themes, we are very happy to
work with you to design a bespoke training
package which enhances your team’s
appreciation of business-sensitivity
to weather and/or how the weather works.
We can host courses here in Norwich,
using the excellent UEA facilities,
and are equally at home coming to your
base.
CONSULTANCY
