John Bacon
After a 20 year career in project and engineering technical management, working in East Africa, Middle East and UK, John joined Weatherquest from a research and lecturing post at UEA. He graduated with a B.Sc. in Geophysical Sciences and PhD in Coastal Oceanography from UEA and as well as contributing to the forecasting effort, is active in the meteorological training and numerical modelling activities of the company.
Spends time sailing, motorcycling and can often be seen cavorting (looking very cool surely?) playing tenor sax in a couple of local Rock bands. Tries hard not to embarrass his teenage daughter too much.
